Worry…why do we worry? The Bible says:
“So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.”
Matthew 6:34 NLT
I don’t know about your but I worry about things too much sometimes. I worry about things at work, what I might eat that day, how am I going to afford something I need, and so on. Heck I worry about things that might happen tomorrow, yet I’m not guaranteed tomorrow.
But God calls us not to worry.
It’s in human nature to worry, but my encouragement for you today is to live in the moment. The here and now. If you’re at work, focus on what’s going on at work, not about if you’re going to have time to make dinner that night. If you’re spending time with family, focus on being in that moment with them, not about what you have to get done at work tomorrow.
Worry can consume us at times, but if you truly believe it, God will provide in whatever situation you are going through.
Now I can’t take credit of all these thoughts as some of it came from my devotion this morning, but I felt it was good enough to share because I know I worry too much.
I hope you have a blessed day today and remember to shine your light!
